Taking x-rays is a vital component of your treatment with Dr. Ritter. Simply put, we cannot diagnose what we cannot see. Most cavities will not become sensitive until they are large and close to the nerve space. Ideally, we find cavities when they are small, resulting in only a small filling.

Here in the office we take digital x-rays. These digital images provide instant images that require less radiation to be captured when compared to film. In addition to check-up x-rays, we also have a digital panoramic x-ray machine that is helpful when there is a question regarding third molars (wisdom teeth), when there is a referral to an orthodontist, etc.
