Traditional orthodontics consists of brackets and wires used to correct the alignment of teeth. Invisalign is an aesthetic alternative to braces because it consists of nearly invisible clear plastic trays. Perhaps you have noticed your lower front teeth becoming crowded. Maybe you went through braces years ago only to see your teeth shift again. Or maybe you have always wanted straight teeth but can’t bear the thought of wearing braces and having a 'metal mouth'. Invisalign can help many people that find themselves in these circumstances. By taking photos and impressions of your teeth a series of these trays is tailor-made to gently move your teeth into alignment. Trays are worn at all times except while eating and brushing/flossing. Total treatment time depends upon how involved a case is and can last anywhere from 6 to 24 months, give or take. |
